Printing can now offer an additional valuable service to our
clients and suppliers – FTP, a secure
means of sending and receiving files via the web, ideal for
digital artwork & large graphics files.
FTP is performed over your broadband connection so there is
no charge other than your monthly fee to your Internet Service
Provider. PC
users can easily use FTP with Internet Explorer, and Mac users
can use FTP with an application such as Fetch or Transmit.
L&S host our own secure FTP site and can create unique
user names and passwords, so there is no chance of anybody
accessing your work by mistake.

L&S have just taken delivery of
a new press, the
Heidelberg Speedmaster SM102 10-colour perfector.
Without getting too technical about it, a perfector
press can print both sides of a sheet as part of the
same print run, thereby increasing speed and giving excellent consistency of colour.
This particular model, the SM102 is the latest technology from a manufacturer regarded by everyone in the business as the top brand in the field. But what does it mean to you? Quicker turnaround than ever before.
And it’s not just fast, image and colour control is absolutely top of the range. Printed sheets are
automatically scanned and compared to the proof or first sheet printed and the colour data is then fed back into the press to ensure colour accuracy and consistency during the run.
Better still, this high tech device is a real “green machine”,
with special in-built
