Digital
printing offers a wider range of solutions for your printing requirements.
The basic difference as regards cost and speed is that there is
no need for films or plates. Your print job is run from disc, enabling
fast turnaround. With all our digital presses we have the ability
to personalise each sheet and incorporate variable data direct from
a standard database.
There are two main types of digital press on the market today, both
using different electro-static print processes. Our Xerox digital
presses use a dry process using CMYK toners similar to a photocopier,
but obviously more advanced, whereas our HP Indigo presses use a
liquid ink using a similar process to litho ....and we have both
of them!
Variable data - benefits and applications
Audience-of-one marketing is the future. As audience profiling becomes
more sophisticated, print documents can now be produced for each
individual customer. Rather than just personalising the name and
address of documents, virtually all aspects of a job can be changed
for each individual recipient. Apart from changing all the data
on printed documents according to your database, the technology
now allows graphics and colour change to create a personal statement
that communicates tailored information.
Lets get personal
This bespoke union of printing and marketing allows you to tailor
your job to your customer profiles, taking into account age, gender,
spending, occupation, hobbies etc.
The scope for personalisation using digital print is incredible.
From simple short runs through to very complex bespoke solutions,
digital printing is the key to using customer data in an imaginative
manner. Instead of just changing names and addresses, we can now
change graphics, individual words or whole blocks of text, colours,
logos, charts, whole pages the possibilities are endless.
You know your market, and what they want. Variable data solutions
allow you to supply printed matter that is tailored for each customer,
whilst retaining the quality of lithographic print.
